Read case studyThe Safety Culture Survey covers behaviours that contribute to excellent safety performance.
It is comprised of 3 separate modules:
Module 1 - Everyone
(looks at behaviours which should be demonstrated by everyone in your organisation)
Module 2 - Supervisors
(looks at behaviours which should be demonstrated by Supervisors in your organisation)
Module 3 - Managers
(looks at behaviours which should be demonstrated by Managers in your organisation).
Regardless of their role in the organisation, all survey participants complete all 3 modules.
Each module looks at 4 behavioural themes, summarised in the table below. All questions relate to positive safety attributes that contribute to a strong safety culture.
Managers - shows commitment to and value of a good safety culture through their personal involvement, allocation of organisational time and money, and setting of expectations.
Supervisors - provides an interactive frontline workforce engagement tool, ideal for use in small work teams, to drive meaningful safety conversations and generate results/feedback in real time.
Everyone - promotes workforce-led safety improvements, ensuring people at the frontline play an active role in organisational change.
Results are available in real time from the Survey dashboard. The results can be filtered in a number of ways so you can get valuable insights and identify key areas to engage with your workforce for focus and improvement.
You can also sort results by teams or departments within your organisation (provided you have set the survey up with these in mind).
At an Industry level, the survey results are collated and used to provide an industry benchmark. The collated data will be used to provide the Safer Together Working Groups’ direction for their areas of focus.
The Safety Culture Survey is only available online. All authorised users will be given an access code to log on to the survey platform. It is compatible with all major internet browsers. The survey is responsive and can be completed on desktop, tablet and mobile devices for ease of use.
If you want to conduct the survey in an environment where online access is not feasible or is impractical, please contact [email protected]
The first assessment is a benchmark from which you can measure your improvement and plot your progress against your improvement plan. It is recommended that you repeat the survey every 12-18 months which will allow sufficient time between assessments for progress to be tangible and measurable.
Once purchased, the survey credits remain valid for 1 year.
